Ordered food. Enjoyed margarita. Laughed at my fellow co-workers, stuck serving on a Friday night. Same fellow co-workers responded by asking me questions, like why I chose to spend my Friday night eating at work. I told them to go back to work. Mean smiles came next. This made my margarita taste better [stronger].
Time to pay the bill. As a restaurant employee, I get 50%-off my dine-in check, excluding alcohol; because I am poor, I happily oblige and indulge in this glutinous perk.
I then spent the remainder of my Friday night nowhere NEAR Times Square. Does it matter where? No.. it's my day-off.
